We will set up a mock mentor center, complete with mentors and mentees, which will be open all day, and open to participants to join in the activities. We will present 3 Q&A's at 12, 2 and 4, for people who are interested in becoming mentors or learning more about mentoring and us. The mentor center activities will be ongoing; puzzles, games, art projects, book reading, puppet theater, etc. The Q&A's will be about 30 minutes each. I would like to show our DVD as part of the Q&A, which is about 8 minutes long. Actually, I might just have it playing all day on a screen in the background.
Mentor Me Petaluma is a non-profit youth mentoring program that recruits and matches adult volunteers with young people who need an extra adult in their lives. Mentors listen to and champion their mentees, encouraging them to stay in school and reach their fullest potential in life. Mentoring transforms lives, two lives simultaneously!
