About
China Camp State Park, located on 1500 acres on the hills and coast directly east of San Rafael, offers incredible natural and cultural history, as well as recreational, learning opportunities. Friends of China Camp, which has traditionally had the mission of providing educational and interpretive support, now operates the park in cooperation with California State Parks. Our primary educational focus is on both the cultural history of our 19th Century-era Chinese fishing village as well as on the natural features of our salt marshes and woodlands.
